Description
MenoPlus 8-PN® is a unique herbal formula containing herbs and nutrients including Lifenol® 8-PN, a phytoestrogen clinically demonstrated to reduce the incidence of hot flushes associated with menopause. The formula now features zizyphus and lavender oil, as well as multiple standardised herbal ingredients. MenoPlus 8-PN® includes sage used in traditional Western herbal medicine (WHM) systems to relieve night sweats associated with menopause, hops and lavender traditionally used in WHM to assist with sleep, vitamin C to support nervous system function and vitamin D to support bone health.

Prescribing Information:
- This product is not recommended for use in pregnancy and lactation.
- Hops contains phytoestrogens that may exert oestrogenic agonist or antagonist activities. The effects on hormone-sensitive conditions, such as breast cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer and endometriosis, are unknown. Caution is also advised with concomitant use alongside hormone replacement therapies.
- Zizyphus may have sedative effects. Caution is advised with patients taking CNS depressants.
- Rehmannia and zizyphus have been shown to exert hypoglycaemic activity in animal studies. Thus, caution is advised in patients using antidiabetic medications.
- Shatavari is thought to have diuretic properties that may affect the excretion and serum levels of certain medications including lithium.
- Sage is contraindicated in patients who experience seizures.
- Orally, lavender may cause gastrointestinal upset, constipation, headache and/or increased appetite.
- Theoretically, concomitant use of lavender with antihypertensive, CNS depressant and sedative medications may cause an additive effect.
- Do not exceed a daily intake of 200mg of vitamin C in patients with haemochromatosis.
