ThyroPlex® provides iodine and tyrosine with other key nutrients to assist in the normal healthy production of thyroid hormones and to support healthy liver function and detoxification. The liver plays an important role in the effective metabolism and transport of thyroid hormones. Features the herbs schisandra, used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as an adapogen and liver tonic, and bupleurum, used traditionally in Japanese Kampo and TCM to help support healthy liver function and metabolism.

Cautions
- Not recommended for use by pregnant and lactating women.
- Adults only.
- Ifrr you are lactating, pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant, do not rrtake vitamin A supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
- When taken in excess of 3000mcg retinol equivalents, vitamin A can cause birth defects.
- Therr recommended daily amount for vitamin A from all sources is 700mcg rrretinol equivalents for women and 900mcg retinol equivalents for men.
- Thisrr product contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose ofrr 150mcg for adults of selenium from dietary supplements should not be rrexceeded.
- Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
- Contains phenylalanine.

- If you have any pre-existing conditions, are on any medications, always talk to your health professional before use.
- Some products should be ceased at least two weeks before any elective surgery, please confirm with your health professional.
Prescribing Information:
- Avoid using in pregnancy and lactation.
- Thyroplexrr contains ingredients that can affect the metabolism of thyroid rrhormones. Monitor patients already taking thyroid medications including rrthyroxin.
- Concomitant use of amiadorone and antithyroid medications with iodine is not advised.
- Concomitant use of potassium iodide with ACE inhibitors or angiotensin receptor blockers may increase the risk of hyperkalaemia.
- Tyrosinerr may decrease the effectiveness of levodopa. Avoid unless under medical rrsupervision and separate doses by at least two hours.
- Tyrosine may have additive effects with thyroid hormone medication or central nervous system stimulants.
- Concurrentrr use of tyrosine and antidepressant medications may theoretically resultrr in elevated blood pressure and/or antidepressant effects.
- Orally,rr schisandra may cause gastrointestinal disturbance, allergic skin rashesrr and urticarial in some patients. If any of these symptoms occur, rrdiscontinue use.
- In vivo evidence suggests an inhibitory effect rrof schisandra on CYP 3A4 activity. Serum levels of drugs chiefly rrmetabolised by CYP 3A4 may increase.
