Description
Patchouli Oil has an earthy, musky aroma that has the rare distinction of improving with age – the older the oil, the fuller the provides harmony to the body and spirit, and can even fight off body odor by performing as both a deodorant and antiperspirant.
Patchouli has been used as an insect repellent, aphrodisiac,antibacterial, and also has the ability to diminish appetite, making it a friend to dieters all over the globe.
In the 19th century, the British learned to identify patchouli as it was used to scent imported fabrics from the musky, earthy scent of patchouli is most associated with fabrics, it has many therapeutic properties as well.
Mixes well with: Allspice, Atlas cedarwood, bergamot, cedarwood, cinnamon, clary sage, frankincense, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, lavender, orange, myrrh, palmarosa, pine, rose, rosewood, sandalwood, tangerine, and ylang ylang.
Suggested Usage
For aromatherapy use. For all other uses, carefully dilute with a carrier oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almond oil prior to use. Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference source for suggested dilution ratios.
