Kirkman’s TMG is a unique form of dimethylglycine (DMG) with an added methyl group that makes it more powerful. This additional methyl group enables TMG to function as a “methyl donor” or methyl bank, ultimately supporting the formation of methionine in the body and eventually converting into SAMe (S-adenosylmethionine). In turn, this can help promote feelings of well-being by maintaining healthy serotonin levels – making moods brighter and lives happier!
DMG, TMG and riboflavin coenzyme cooperate to provide methyl groups that attach to folic acid. This produces the compound known as methylene tetrahydrofolate which is essential for various cellular activities including recognition of stimuli and response mechanisms.
